Status: With My Fic Or On It, Day 5

Worked on the first scene of the epilogue on the train and bus to work this morning; it's mostly done and just needs a transition to the next scene. Planned to work on things some more on the way home, but work gave me a new shiny toy and a writer I like posted 12 new chapters out of the blue, so...yeah, nothing so far tonight. Current word count: 16428. 8 spots are marked for fix - the three scenes of the epilogue, the three skipped scenes, and two things to add to existing scenes.

Hoping to make some progress after the kids go to bed. The new shiny's battery wasn't fully charged, so it's charging now.

I Just Realized

I finally figured out why I started writing fanfic all of a sudden last year.

It's my midlife crisis.

I suppose writing bad porn about teenage versions of kids' cartoon characters is cheaper than a sports car, healthier than a motorcycle, and less likely to wreck my life than a mistress. So I've got that going for me.
