This completes my second trope bingo for this round, and my first-ever kink bingo.

Six Steps needs its final two scenes finished. I told the guy who requested it it might go up this weekend; not sure on that yet. Writing M-rated pseudosmut isn't significantly easier than writing E-rated smut.
Miles Away continues; big problem there is making sure I don't rush it too much and keep the changes in the characters' relationships progressing at a realistic level.
And another flippin' plotbunny ambushed me last night. Jumped me, held my brain down, and screamed itself hoarse. It's a bad (good) sign when the quick summary I threw into my 'ideas' file is over 100 words long. It's the obligatory A Christmas Carol fusion.
Planning out the rest of my bingos. I've got the postage stamp on my second trope bingo card worked out (Gravity Falls, reunion/holiday/virgin/free space), and am working on the bottom horizontal. Under Contract will fill slavefic, and Miles Away gets fork in the road; that leaves against all odds, curtainfic, and power dynamics. I'm not sure on against all odds; curtainfic will probably be part of Fletcher-Flynn Foundation Fluff, and power dynamics I think will end up as a Gravity Falls story.
Kink bingo proceeds. Under Contract fills power exchange; I still need gangbang (Multiplicity) and ropes/chains. I'm pondering another Gravity Falls story for the latter, maybe Wendy/Robbie. After all, her dad's a lumberjack, I'm sure he's got all sorts of fun toys to play with.

Merideath's post got me thinking about making a WIP list. It's fairly nontrivial.

Current plan is to finish off the Kink Bingo board with Under Contract, Multiplicity, and the untitled rope/chain story, then get another board and see what I can do with it.

- Fletcher-Flynn Foundation:
- Quid Pro Quo: Short piece to bring Perry back into play, show some questionable financial decisions on the part of the foundation members, and have a reason for Phineas and Isabella to argue. I tend to play them as far too perfect a couple; need to work on that. About 1/3 written.
- And Then There Were Four: Short piece to show where Vanessa fits in with the rest of the Foundation. Minimal piece written.
- The Best Part of the Day: Phineas, on waking up in the morning. Minimal piece written.
- Millicent: Next major story in the timeline. Millicent sends Ferb's half-siblings to live with him for the summer. Adventure and sibling bonding ensue. About 1 chapter written.
- Mistletoe/Brother timeline:
- Like Father, Like Son (needs a new title): Set a year and a half or so after Like Kissing Her Brother. Vanessa accidentally gets pregnant. Her boyfriend is still in high school. Lawrence flips out with flashbacks to Ferb's birth. Mental outline only.
- Explicit Stories:
- Under Contract: The piece getting the most work right now; likely to be my longest individual story ever written. Almost 10,000 words so far, and not quite half done. AU-slavery, in which Gretchen gets sold and Vanessa gets framed for a crime she didn't commit. Should cover 'slavefic' on my Trope Bingo board and 'power exchange' on my Kink Bingo board.
- Head Games: My first-ever first-person work. Isabella's dealing with some head issues caused by her mother, and isn't sure she can have a sexual relationship at all. Phineas has some ideas that may help. About 1/4 written but needs an overhaul.
- Multiplicity: Another ASV Hornet story, set much later. Anna ends up with four copies of Kepheus due to a mat-trans accident. Fills the 'gangbang' square on my Kink Bingo board. About 2/3 written.
- Evil Vibrations: The first fanfic I wrote; technically part of the Foundation timeline, but not compliant anymore. Phineas and Isabella having fun in the back yard, while Vanessa tries her hand at evil. Complete but needs massive overhaul.
- Thwart Me: Another in the Foundation timeline; Vanessa and Ferb roleplaying a bit. About 1/3 complete.
- Untitled Avengers story: Steve and Darcy transported to another world by Loki and captured/enslaved by the natives. Originally planned out for the 'fuck or die' square on my Trope Bingo board. Mentally outlined.
- Untitled rope/chains story: Vanessa (or possibly Wendy from Gravity Falls) doing some bondage modeling to put herself through college. Mental outline only.
- Crossovers/Fusions:
- Madness Takes Its Toll: Crossover with Narbonic and Skin Horse. About 2/3 complete at 5000 words.
- Phineasific Rim: Fusion with Pacific Rim. Mentally outlined but nothing written down yet.
- Untitled Avengers Fusion: Fusion with Avengers. Phineas as Captain America (and Isabella as Darcy!). Cast assigned but no plot yet.

- Untitled Six Exposures for Baljeet/Ginger: Per request of another user. Some mental planning, but stuck on it right now.
- Just A Hero: Memorial Day story for next year. Maybe 1/2 done.
- Beta Reader: Original story deconstructing some A/B/O tropes. Mentally outlined.
- Boys and Their Toys: Dark P&F setting where P&F went evil and took over the Tri-State Area. Four character vignettes written, one of which needs to be dumped and replaced; major story to follow, loosely outlined.
- Untitled It's Complicated Sequel: In which Phineas and Isabella try to balance their renewed relationship with the needs of starting at separate colleges in a new city. (May end up E-rated, not sure yet.) Mentally outlined.

It's AU:Space, called "Welcome Aboard the ASV Hornet", in which Isabella writes self-insert Space Adventure fanfic. So that one's complete. I'm not going to post the board right now, since I'll be posting it when I finish the bingo.

She started posting a crossover story between P&F and Gravity Falls, which I'd been hearing good things about. So, what the heck, I figured I'd try an episode and see if I liked it.
It's a kid-friendly animated Twin Peaks. And completely awesome.
So, yeah, I may not have written as much recently, because I'm still only 65% through the first season. My older son wants to watch it with me, so I can't just burn through it. (The younger son wants to watch too, which makes it a bit iffier - we ended up watching the Summerween episode just before bedtime, and needed emergency cute stories so he could sleep.)
Actually, progress goes well. The T-rated Space Adventure story is up to about 2500 words; I'm guessing we'll end at about 5k. (It's really more of a Star Trek pastiche than Space Adventure fanfic, I think, but I'm willing to call it close enough.)

The Space Adventure story has morphed and then split; the first story to come out will be an early T-rated one for the au: space square to finish my Trope Bingo board. This gives me a bit more room to set up the characters and situation while letting most of my audience read the story. Then the adult-rated followup for a Kink Bingo fill will follow later; that one's about 1/3 written right now, but will need some rewrite after the re-casting I've done for the story-in-a-story. (The Ferb analogue needs to be chief engineer, not the chief science officer, so the Gretchen analogue becomes chief science officer and second officer.)
Current casting puts Isabella at captain, Phineas as first officer, Gretchen as science/second officer, Ginger at helm, Baljeet at navigation, Buford in security, Ferb in engineering, Holly as chief medical officer. But that may change, of course, and I need to come up with alternate names for all of them.

The bunnies made me write It's Complicated, and then follow it up with Welcome To The Lab and No Shovel Required. And now I have but one square to go to complete my bingo, but au: space is a bit tricky to work with when the big crossover special has the main five kids surfing the asteroid belt. I think I've figured out what to do with it, but it's kind of funky.

The further into the story I get, the more I think it works, but I'm not going all OTP on it. It's about 2/3 done at this point, I think; need Buford's last penance, and a resolution.
No progress on anything else, really. I have the outline for Phineasific Rim, but I really need to add another long fic to the unfinished list like I need a hole in the head. Gretchen stared at him levelly. “You’ve been tormenting half the kids in this school for years. And now you want me to just forget all that and say, teehee, let’s go out? No.”
So, allegedly I'm working on bingo stuff. And in practice, I'm barely getting started on it. I had Are You Sure, Vanessa? just about done when bingos started, and then 14AmyChan stuck the idea for Are You Sure, Ferb? in there, and then HalyPooH did her drawing of Ferb and Vanessa and I offered her a story which became And You Don't Know Why, But You're Dying To Try. I posted that last to deviantArt in addition to FFN and AO3; I may post more stories there as well.
Okay, I'm counting that last as a Trope Bingo story, under 'matchmaker'. And I've been working on a story for Kink Bingo, square 'penance/punishment'; it's Gretchen/Buford, T-rated, and called 'Tuff Enuff' (after the Fabulous Thunderbirds song). It's about half done, I think.
Beyond that...I don't know what to work on after that. This does mean that I probably can't put Madness Takes Its Toll onto my bingo board, since the matchmaker story will probably end up taking the free space. I'm really unsure on what I'm doing with that board, though, so I may go with something else entirely. Two of the tropes that I had been most worried about (bodyswap and genderswap) have suddenly clicked with me, so I may do a diagonal that goes through one of those. Or I could do the horizontal with both, and au: apocalypse (finally finishing up Boys and Their Toys). Argh. Decision paralysis strikes again.
Step one: finish Tuff Enuff. At that point, I can at least qualify for amnesty in both bingos.

Even if it did render the Fletcher-Flynn Foundation officially non-canon, since I had Isabella's birthday in March, and that fact is actually somewhat important in Firsts, Not Responsible For Advice Not Taken, and What's Up Doc?; the fact that she's older than Phineas is relevant in Something Special as well. At least Ferb has caught more of a clue since Canderemy now. (Phineas...not so much. There's a reason I came up with the term 'weapons-grade obliviousness' for that boy.)
Oh well. Now I need to include butterflies in more stories. Because he always gives her butterflies.

- gangbang - this one was more of an issue. I was having a hard time figuring out a way to do this that was consensual and fit the characters as I tend to visualize them. The closest I've gotten in any of my stories was the epilogue to I Can Only Stay If You've The Will To Keep Me Here, where Baljeet and Buford were just about to make a Ginger sandwich as we faded to black. I think I'm likely to take this in a different direction, though, and go with a holodeck-type technology. The end result will probably be Phinphinphinphinphinphinphinphinbella.
- wingfic / deathfic - this shouts "Icarus" to me. Not sure exactly what I'll do with it; I may play with the Icarus myth and subvert it a bit.
- kidfic / bets/wagers - not exactly sure here yet.
- matchmaker / free space - leaning toward Isabella as matchmaker, setting up all her friends while Phineas is still clueless. (The free space may end up being unrequited love/pining, in this case.)
- slavefic / fuck or die - Steve and Darcy, sent to another world by Loki and enslaved by the beings there, forced to mate for their entertainment.
- twenty-four hours to live / au: fantasy - P&F modern fantasy setting, some sort of Doom spell that needs to be countered/blocked.

status: busy week again
Jun. 30th, 2013 10:22 pmWe went out for barbecue for my birthday, which was a tasty choice. I've been polishing Challenges, which desperately needs a less generic name. Also worked on Madness Takes Its Toll a bit more, starting on Chapter 5, where Dave and Isabella have a talk.
Busy week again this week, at least until Wednesday. Stuff that needs to be finished up so we can release by the end of the month. Hopefully things will calm down a bit once we can hand things off to QA. (...ah, optimism.)
On the plus side, this will give me time to ponder my bingo boards before I can get around to writing anything. Looking forward to seeing what I have to work with tomorrow!
