Instead, I'm wandering afield in Trope Bingo territory, working on a story that doesn't even fit any tropes on my board. My brain got shanghaied by a story I'm calling "It's Complicated", which is either a reunion story or possibly epistolary, although I'd need a judge's ruling on that one. (Does it count if the format is, basically, a Facebook post with likes and comments, followed by a short scene giving background on the post?)
To an extent, it doesn't matter, the only place it'll fit is in the free space. Or...ooh. Okay, looking at the board, I could call this au: college/highschool, although that would be another judge's ruling. (Does it count if it's just futurefic where the characters have aged up to high school? Does it count if the main characters don't go to the same school?)

- au: college/highschool: I'm pretty sure "It's Complicated" fits here. If not, I put it in the free space, and...I have no idea what I do here.
- rites of passage/coming of age: Hm. I've already done Isabella's quinceañera, but maybe I could do a bat mitzvah.
