Sunday Six: And Then There Were Four

Today’s Sunday Six (which has more than six sentences, but we’ll ignore that for now) is from a Fletcher-Flynn Foundation Fluff piece called “And Then There Were Four”, about integrating Vanessa into the Foundation.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever finish this bit, so…here you go.
They’d returned to Ferb’s parents’ house after the rehearsal dinner. Vanessa sat on the couch, enjoying a brief chance to rest before her wedding tomorrow - for all that she’d wanted a small, simple wedding, there had still been a bunch of things she’d had to do. (Even if half of them boiled down to ‘telling Mom to back off’.)
As she grabbed the remote, Ferb’s voice came from the kitchen. “Vanessa, can you come here for a minute?”
She sighed and walked over; Ferb was at the kitchen table with Phineas, Isabella, and a bunch of paperwork. “What’s up?” she asked curiously. “I thought we’d done the marriage license preparation already.”
"We have, love," he said. "This is your wedding present from the three of us." He slid the topmost piece of paper over to her. "One-fourth ownership of the Fletcher-Flynn Foundation. An equal share with us."
She sat in the offered chair, hard. “I…I don’t have anything like this for you.”
