vacation status: story complete (ish)
Jun. 18th, 2013 09:45 pmWhat I think will be the completed version of A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes is now finished. Not 100% sure on the ending yet, it may need some tweaking.
Spending vacation time with my wife, while the kids are at camp. This is really weird. We haven't been able to do this for years. The camp director told us to be sure we came back to pick the kids up...I think I understand why now.
Started working out a new story idea, a crossover with The Fantasticks. (Tentative title, "The Phin-tasticks".) Trying to decide if I want to do versions of all the songs - since Fantasticks is a musical, and P&F is a very musical show, it seems obligatory, but also seems like a lot of work.
I've been trying to figure out the difference between a crossover and a fusion. I'm pretty sure the Narbonic crossover is a crossover but not a fusion, since the characters from both come together and interact as themselves. Likewise, I think the Avengers one would be a fusion, since it would be P&F characters in the roles of the Avengers and their support staff. I'm unsure where Phin-tasticks would fall - it would be P&F characters in the plot of The Fantasticks. (So, Lawrence and Linda pretend to hate Vivian to get Phineas and Isabella together...) I'm leaning toward fusion, which would be handy when trope bingo starts.
